Stop exporting your lists just to clean them

Traditional list cleaning means exporting contacts from IEM, uploading them to a verification service, waiting for the results, cleaning the file and importing it back again.

Email Verification puts that workflow inside Interspire Email Marketer.

For new contacts, verification can happen automatically as the address enters IEM. For existing contacts, you can select your lists and start a background verification job directly from the IEM interface.

No separate CSV workflow. No rebuilding lists after every cleanup.

Keep bad addresses out before you send

The addon can verify addresses entering IEM through:

• Public signup forms
• Manual contact additions
• XML API signups
• Imports

For each verdict, you decide what IEM should do:

• Allow the address
• Allow and flag it for review or segmentation
• Block it according to your policy

Verification can identify invalid, disposable, role-based, catch-all, risky and unknown addresses.

Choose Live or Deferred verification

Different entry points need different behavior.

Live verification checks the address before it is accepted. Use it where you want an immediate answer and are willing to wait for the verification response.

Deferred verification accepts the contact immediately and verifies it on the next scheduler pass. This is usually the better choice for public signup forms because the visitor does not have to wait for an external mailbox check.

If a deferred result matches a verdict you block, the addon can unsubscribe, delete or flag the contact according to your settings.

Verification should not cost you a subscriber. If the verification service is temporarily unavailable, the addon is designed to fail open: the subscriber is accepted unverified and can be checked later.

Clean the lists you already have

Select one or more IEM contact lists and start a bulk verification job.

The addon processes addresses in the background through IEM’s scheduler and the provider’s asynchronous API, so large jobs do not need to tie up the browser.

When the job completes, you can:

• Review the result breakdown by verdict
• Export invalid addresses to CSV
• Unsubscribe invalid contacts in one action
• Use verification status in IEM segments

Reduce repeat verification costs

Verification results are cached with a configurable time-to-live, which defaults to 60 days.

While a cached result is still valid, repeat signups, overlapping lists and bulk re-runs can reuse that result instead of sending the same address to the provider again.

This is especially useful when the same contact appears on multiple IEM lists.

See exactly what was checked

Every verification is written to a filterable Verification Log, including checks from signups, bulk jobs and one-off lookups.

Rejected signups are logged even when the address never becomes an IEM contact.

Verified contacts also receive:

• A verification event on their contact timeline
• A searchable Email verification status custom field

Because the status is available as a normal IEM field, you can use it in segments to include or exclude contacts based on verification state.

Verification is performed through the ClearBounce API, including syntax, MX and SMTP mailbox checks, disposable and role detection, catch-all detection and a quality score.

Using IEM 8.7.5? Bulk verification works, but automatic subscriber-ingress verification requires IEM 8.8.0 or later.

Frequently asked questions

Does the $149 purchase include verification credits?

No. The $149 purchase is for the IEM addon and includes 12 months of addon updates. Verification is performed through ClearBounce, and ClearBounce API usage and verification credits are separate.

Will verification slow down my public signup forms?

It does not have to. Set public forms to Deferred mode and the subscriber is accepted immediately. Verification runs later through the IEM scheduler. In addition ClearBounce offers the ClearBounce Shield product specifically for the form verification use case.

What happens if ClearBounce is temporarily unavailable?

The addon is fail-open by design. If verification cannot complete, the subscriber is accepted unverified rather than being lost because of a provider outage.

Can I clean contacts that are already in IEM?

Yes. Bulk verification lets you select existing lists, run verification in the background, review the results and unsubscribe invalid contacts.

Can I decide what happens to risky or catch-all addresses?

Yes. Policies are configurable by verdict. You can allow, flag or block addresses based on how you want to handle each verification result.

Does the addon verify the same address every time it appears?

Not while a valid cached result is available. Results are cached for a configurable period, with a default of 60 days, so repeat appearances can reuse the existing verdict until it expires.

Can I control verification usage for individual IEM users?

Yes. Multi-user installations can set allowances by user group, meter usage per user, issue manual grants and control verification permissions through IEM’s group permissions.
