Suppression Management Addon

Overview

Suppression Management helps you search, export, and delete suppressed contacts across one list or all lists. Use it when you need to audit suppressions or clean them in bulk from a CSV.

This guide is for the version updated for Interspire Email Marketer 7 and 8.

Where to find it

After install, these items appear under the Contacts menu:

  • Search Suppressed Contacts
  • Export Suppressed Contacts to a File
  • Delete Suppressed Contacts Via File

Installation

Warning: Create a full file and database backup before installing or updating. See Support.

  1. Upload the addon folder into admin/addons/.
  2. In IEM admin, open Settings → Addon Settings, install Suppression Search Export And Delete, and enable it.
  3. Clear template cache files in admin/com/storage/template-cache/.
  4. Confirm the three Contacts menu items appear.
  1. Open Search Suppressed Contacts.
  2. Search across all lists or a specific list.
  3. Review matches and remove suppressions from those lists when appropriate.

Export suppressed contacts

  1. Open Export Suppressed Contacts to a File.
  2. Choose a specific list or all lists.
  3. Download the CSV for audit, backup, or offline review.

Delete suppressed contacts via file

  1. Prepare a CSV of email addresses to remove from suppression.
  2. Open Delete Suppressed Contacts Via File.
  3. Choose the target list scope (specific list or all lists).
  4. Upload the CSV and confirm the deletion.

Warning: Deletion is destructive for suppression records. Export first if you may need to restore or audit later.

Troubleshooting

  • Menu items missing — re-check install/enable and clear template cache.
  • Upload fails — confirm CSV format and that addresses match how they are stored in IEM.
