1.0 Installation

WARNING: Please create a FULL file and database backup somewhere before replacing any file for this addon. Click here for instructions on backing up IEM.

Upload exclude folder in iem/admin/addons/

Open iem admin account and go to Settings->Addon Setting

On this page look for “JP: Exclude List”

Press installation button.

2.0 Excluding During Import

When you are manually importing contacts into a contact list you will see a new section on the page.

You can select from the following options:

  1. Do not exclude contacts – will import like normal. Nothing will be excluded
  2. Exclude using contact list – You will select any contact list(s). If any of the contacts being imported are on any of your selected lists they will be ignored and not imported
  3. Exclude using segment – You will select any segment(s). If any of the contacts being imported are on any of your selected segments they will be ignored and not imported
  4. Exclude based on recency – You will input a number of Day(s). If any of the contacts being imported have received an email in the last number of days designated they will be ignored and not imported

Example: If you have an existing list of customers who have purchased a product and you are importing a new list of potential customers you would want to make sure you exclude customers from the import so they don’t start getting buy product emails.

3.0 Excluding During Send

Use this addon to select multiple lists or segments to exclude from the sending when you send your campaign.

You can choose from the following options:

  1. Do not exclude contacts – will send like normal. Nothing will be excluded
  2. Exclude using contact list – You will select any contact list(s). If any of the contacts who would receive this campaign are on any of your selected lists they will be ignored and not receive the campaign
  3. Exclude using segment – You will select any segment(s). If any of the contacts who would receive this campaign are on any of your selected segments they will be ignored and not receive this campaign
  4. Exclude based on recency – You will input a number of Day(s). If any of the contacts who would receive this campaign have received an email in the last number of days designated they will be ignored and not receive this campaign

4.0 Excluding For Autoresponders

You can choose from the following options:

  1. Do not exclude contacts – will send autoresponder like normal. Nothing will be excluded
  2. Exclude using contact list – You will select any contact list(s). If any of the contacts who would receive this autoresponder are on any of your selected lists they will be ignored and not receive the autoresponder
  3. Exclude using segment – You will select any segment(s). If any of the contacts who would receive this autoresponder are on any of your selected segments they will be ignored and not receive this autoresponder
  4. Exclude based on recency – You will input a number of Day(s). If any of the contacts who would receive this autoresponder have received an email in the last number of days designated they will be ignored and not receive this autoresponder
