Interspire Email Marketer has always been about choice. You run it on your own server, send through the provider you pick, and design emails in whichever editor suits the job: the WYSIWYG editor, a drag-and-drop builder, or your own HTML.
Today there is one more option. IEMAddons: Stripo Email Designer adds Stripo’s email builder to that list, for teams who already design in Stripo or want to try it.
It does not replace anything. Your existing editors, templates and campaigns carry on exactly as they are.
Pick it per campaign
Stripo is a widely used drag-and-drop email builder that produces responsive HTML. Stripo is an independent company, and this addon is built by IEMAddons: it connects your own Stripo account to IEM.
Once connected, Stripo appears in the editor dropdown on any newsletter or template, next to the editors you already use. Choose it for one campaign, stay with your usual editor for the next. Different people on the same team can work in different editors.
Full-screen editing
Click Edit in Stripo and the designer opens in its own full-screen window, with content blocks and settings on the left and a live rendering of your email on the right. Your campaign form stays open in the admin behind it.
Back on the campaign form, a preview panel with mobile, tablet and desktop modes shows your work and refreshes each time you save in the designer.
Your campaigns stay in IEM
Every save writes two things to the campaign in IEM: the finished, send-ready HTML that IEM sends, and Stripo’s editable design. Sending, scheduling, tracking and reporting all work exactly as they do for any other campaign, and when you re-open the campaign, Edit in Stripo picks up the design where you left it.
Personalization included
All your IEM merge tags are available from the editor’s merge-tags menu, grouped for you:
- Contact fields: unsubscribe link, web version, email address, company details and the rest
- Custom fields: every field from every contact list you own
- Survey links: from the Surveys addon
- Dynamic content tags: from the DCT addon
They are inserted as standard IEM placeholders and substituted at send time, the same as in any other editor.
Setup
- An administrator installs and enables the addon from Settings → Addons, then grants the Use Stripo permission to the user groups that should have it. Users without the permission will not see any change.
- Each user opens Email Campaigns → My Stripo Account and enters the Plugin ID and Secret Key from their Stripo account. If you do not have one yet, sign up at stripo.email.
- Stripo appears in that user’s editor dropdown as soon as they connect.
Credentials are per user, because a Stripo plugin key belongs to an individual Stripo account. The secret is stored encrypted and never sent to the browser, and disconnecting is a single button. Images uploaded in the designer are hosted on Stripo’s CDN. The addon adds one small table for the credentials and no cron jobs, and uninstalling it removes that table.
